Services: Crowns
Crowns are the best, and sometimes only, choice for restoring damaged teeth or teeth with large, old fillings. Dr. Berry offers many types of crowns, depending on the patient's needs. Some are made here in the office (Cerec), and others are made at a high quality dental laboratory.
Porcelain to Gold: These crowns are very strong, with a substructure of gold and other semi-precious metals, with porcelain fused, or baked, to the metal. They are shaped and shaded to match your other teeth, and are made at our dental laboratory.
All Porcelain: These crowns are highly aesthetic. They can be made at our office, in many cases, using the Cerec technology. Some cases require our dental laboratory to fabricate them for us, when the clinical need calls for it. Porcelain crowns are bonded into place, making them "almost as strong" as a natural, healthy tooth.
Gold: Gold crowns are still a good way to restore a tooth, usually a back molar. They are able to hold up well for chewing, and are good for patients that may grind their teeth. There is no worry of breaking or chipping porcelain. Gold crowns are fabricated at our dental laboratory.
