Meet Our Dental Staff...

Janet Compoli - Office Manager

Janet joined our team with over 25 years of dental office experience.  She graduated from Powelson Business School and has attended several seminars specializing in orthodontics and dental computer programs.  As Office Manager, Jan assists in the daily responsibilities of Berry Good Dental Care.  If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with Jan and she will be very happy to help you.  Jan is also our Patient Specialist; warmly greeting patients, assisting them with necessary paperwork along with making appointments.  Her wonderful smile waits to greet you.  Don’t be late!

Nancy Prall - Financial Manager

Nancy has over 20 years of experience in medical insurance and billing, including dental management.  She has completed the medical billing course at Bryant and Stratton as well as several seminars in coding, organization skills, and computer programs.   Nancy has great customer service skills, including helping patients understand their insurance limitations.  She helps our patients set up financial plans as needed.  Her upbeat personality brings a smile to all those she interacts with.

Karen Kalata - Administrative Assistant

Karen joined our team in December of 2007.  She has an AAS Degree in Business Administration from Niagara County Community College and Certification in the NYS Women in Business Program from Bryant and Stratton Business Institute.  Her background also includes experience as a Human Resources Administrator.  As Administrative Assistant to Dr. Berry, Karen is involved in the oversight of building maintenance, scheduling the doctor’s many outside activities, and keeping up with general correspondence.  She also provides human resource support to the practice.  Karen and her husband live in Camillus.

Lisa Ortiz - Hygienist

Lisa is a graduate of Broome Community College with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene.   She has been with Berry Good Dental Care as Lead Hygienist since 1999 when the practice opened.  Lisa supervises the on-going training of our dental staff and provides support to our other hygienists.  A member of the International Association of Orthodontics (IAO), she also attends many seminars each year to continue her education and keep up with the latest in dental hygiene.   Her specialties are orthodontics, and periodontal disease.  Lisa is the mother of two children and lives in Marathon NY.

Halley Rounds - Hygienist

Halley is a graduate of Broome Community College School of Dentistry with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene.  She is certified to treat periodontal disease using Perio Protect and is licensed to administer local anesthesia.  Halley is originally from Hallstead, Pennsylvania.  After graduating from Broome Community College she relocated to the Syracuse area.  Halley joined our staff in August, 2008.  With her ability to make patients feel comfortable and provide good oral hygiene, she is a welcome addition to our staff.

Heather Wood - Hygienist

Heather is a graduate of Onondaga Community College with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene.  She came to Berry Good Dental with 6 years of experience as a hygienist.  She has worked all phases of dental office practice including dental assistant and receptionist.  Heather also volunteers her time as a hygienist by going into schools two days a week to help needy children with their oral health.  She makes it a point to make people feel at ease when they first come to her.  She tries to alleviate any concerns they may have with their dental treatment.  Heather, her husband and two children live in South Otselic NY.

Rachel Scripa - Dental Assistant

Dental Assistant to Dr. Berry.  Rachel joined Berry Good Dental Care, P.C. in April 2008.  She is certified in our Perio Protect method of treating periodontal disease.  Rachel provides chairside assistance to Dr. Berry.  She manages our supply system, takes x--rays, and impressions.  Rachel likes to help patients feel comfortable and confident about improving their smiles.  Outside of the office, Rachel keeps busy with her young daughter.

Anthony King - Dental Assistant

Dental Assistant to Dr. Berry.  Anthony is a 2008 graduate of Onondaga BOCES
School of Dentistry.  He joined Berry Good Dental Care, P.C. in May of 2008.  He assists with x-rays, impressions, root canals, pouring models, and is our lab case manager.  He has two children and is very interested in making sure his patients—especially children-- are educated in dental hygiene.

Megan Golembieski - Dental Assistant

Dental Assistant – hygiene - specializing in periodontal care and assisting our hygienists.  Megan joined Berry Good Dental Care, P.C. in May 2008.  Megan assists the hygienist with x-rays, impressions, orthodontics and patient care.  She especially likes working with children to help them become comfortable and enjoy their dental visit. 

Our staff is friendly and considerate and well trained in OSHA regulations, First Aid and CPR.  You will leave with a smile on your face after visiting Berry Good Dental Care, P.C.
